Captive State’s first teaser trailer is now available, where Rupert Wyatt’s new film “The Rise of the Planet of the Apes”. We’ve been writing about this project several times, but it’s been a long time and if you’ve forgotten what’s going on, super, because we think that if you watch the trailer without any background information, it’s better. It’s not something special (do not prepare for something special now), it just seems to us.

Captive State: Cast, Details & Trailer

Just let’s say Captive State is starring John Goodman ( we all remember him from Kong: Skull Island), Vera Farminga ( one of the leading stars in Orphan the movie), Ashton Sanders and Jonathan Major (had a modest part in Hostiles). Check out the trailer below:

Captive State Synopsis

That is exactly the classic social-political anti-utopian alien twist. The film’s action is developing in Chicago, nearly a decade after an alien occupation, and presents both sides in the conflict – collaborators and dissidents.

It’s not the most original story, but we rely on the fact that Rupert Wyatt and his wife Erica Beeney, who wrote the script, found an interesting point of view.

We are waiting for the next trailer to see what the overall movie story-direction will be. If Wyatt’s approach is similar to that in The Rise of the Planet of the Apes – with more attention to the heroes and less action (or one that serves the story) we will be pleased. The man definitely has talent and we have not lost faith in him. The premiere is March 29, 2019. Check out the movie poster:
